Our son, Caleb, took an interest in having a rabbit enterprise on the farm when he was 7. For Christmas that year, he received a book about raising meat rabbits, which he studied diligently as he took notes. In the summer of 2012, shortly after his 8th birthday, he received his first heritage breed rabbit. He is now working on increasing his pastured herd of Champagne d’Argent rabbits in order to have meat available for our customers.
